Everyone with a show of hands, “Who is guilty of having said this before?” Guilty as charged. Let us face it, we all have said this or at least thought this more so than we probably even realize. Our lives are extremely busy, or so we think. I came across some neat information online that I thought would be neat to share with you.

There is on average 672 hours in a month, and if we subtracted 280 hours (10 hours a day for sleep) and 200 hours (50 hour work week) for sleep and work respectively, we would have on average 48 hours a week to spend as you wish. Now obviously those 48 hours a week or almost 7 hours a day we have to ourselves is broken down into many other obligations like family, entertainment and household duties. Before you begin to do the math in your head and attempt to rebuke the numbers and the many other obligations that you know have to be accounted for, hear me through. Would it be possible to consider taking 1.5 hours of those 7 a day and set them aside for you and your own personal development? That would equate to 10.5 hours a week and 42 extra hours per month dedicated to you and only you for whatever you deem necessary. Perhaps you have thought of exercising or starting your own business on line to better your financial outlook and future. It does not matter what it is you would like to do, but only if you had the time, right?

I can assure you that if you practiced or learned something over 10 hours per week, and you were to adhere to it for a couple months, you would be pretty dog gone good at it. Do you think so? I tell my kids every day, “Practice makes perfect!”

We are basically talking about time management and how bad you want change in your life. When we tell ourselves we do not have the time, we are really telling ourselves, “I really don’t want it bad enough.” Many of you have heard me time and time again speak of needing to have a burning desire, regardless of what it is you are looking to attain in your life. We all value different things in our lives and my passion remains to open just one persons eye to the opportunity they actually do have within them.

Before you know it, years will have passed and you will be looking back and realize you are in the same place that you were so many years earlier. You will never get where you want to be, if you continue doing what you’re doing. The average net worth of people 65 years old is 65 thousand dollars. How far will that get you during your golden years? Eight out of ten people who read this will continue to do what it is they do and not make the changes in their lives that they tell themselves they want. Which will you be? We must take the time to learn before we earn.

Make it the Best Day Ever!
