“If You Had One Wish… What Would it Be?”

If you could make a wish upon a star… what would you wish for?

Would you wish for power, fame, money, or something else?

A Wish Come True… Or Not

It’s interesting, that someone the other day turned down the Power Ball Lotto because it was not possible to stay anonymous. They did not want all the press attention and having them following them around all the time. And all the thousands of people who would come to their door asking for money. So they turned down hundreds of millions of dollars… Wow very interesting. They decided they did not want their lives turned upside down. And it’s pretty understandable that someone would want to keep their identity safe. So perhaps having lots of money is not all of what it’s cracked up to be.

And What About Being Famous… Great or Not

A great comedian a few years ago asked one of our former Presidents of the United States what he would like. And he said, “I would like to have my former identity back and to be able to walk the streets and go in stores and have a regular life. I miss being a regular person.” So all in all, even though he was one of the most famous people on the planet… he wished he could have his old life back. Very Interesting… perhaps fame is not what it’s cracked up to be.

People Become Worse Off Winning Money

Those who win the Lotto of millions of dollars… over 80% of the end up worse off. They get divorced, they eventually lose all of their money, all their friends won’t talk to them anymore, and all their family is fighting with them, and they end up worse off than ever before. So perhaps money is not what life is all about.

This Man Gives Most of His Money Away

In fact, I know a man who is a multimillionaire, and he gives over 90% of his money to charity. He lives on a modest income, in a modest house, he can travel, but he is not extravagant or anything like that. He drives a regular car like you or me, and you would not know he had money at all. And he meditates for 3 hours a day, and he can stay up for long periods of time because he meditates for that long, and he is amazingly intelligent and spiritual. Plus he is extremely happy… unlike many people in this day and age. And I think he would be happy with or without money.
