The term Allergies can be defined as exaggerated reaction by the immune system when the body comes in contact with certain foreign substances. It is called exaggerated because some foreign substance has some serious harmless effects on the body and no response can be seen in the non allergic people. It has been observe that people who are having allergies often more sensitive to more than one thing. The things that may cause reactions are medicine, pollen, insect setting, dust mites, food, mold spores, latex rubber, environmental conditions and pet dander. The reaction of allergies occurs in one area such as skin rash or sneezing and may have more than one symptoms.
Causes and risk factor of allergies
The problem of allergies is very common in people now a days. The main causes of allergies are genetic and environmental factors. Immune system plays a very important role in our body. It protect the body from harmful substance such as bacteria and viruses, also react to foreign substance known as allergens.
People suffering from allergies has oversensitive immune system. In allergen it releases the chemical known as histamine that fight to allergen. This further lead to swelling, muscles spasms, rashes, itching, mucus production and other symptoms that vary from person to person. Some common allergies are food and drug allergies, pollen spices, dust, mold, pet dander, insect bites, cosmetic and jewellery and other substances. Many people are allergic to environmental conditions like hot and cold temperature or sunlight. Genetically also you may have allergies. If your both mother and father are allergic to any thing you may likely to have allergies. The chances increases if your mother has this diseases. This problem can further take the shape of other diseases like sinus problem, asthma diseases and eczema.
Symptoms of allergies
It is a problem which is very common now a days in people. The symptoms of this problem are vomiting, breathing problem, coughing, wheezing, burning or itchy eyes, stomach cramps, red eyes, skin rashes, diarrhea, runny nose, headache, itching of nose and mouth and haves.
Treatment
It is a common problem found in the people now a days. If you are not getting relief from the allergies you should immediately consult the doctor or health care professional. Zyrtec is the most recommended medicine by the doctor for the treatment of allergies. It is a prescription medicine and should be used as prescribed by the doctor. Pregnant and breast feeding mother should not buy this medication without any doctor prescription. Before taking Zyrtec you should inform your doctor that you have the problem of kidney diseases, heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes and thyroid.
People using this medication should avoid drinking alcohol. You should take this medicine with a full glass of water with or without food. You should take this medication as prescribed by the doctor. Keep this medicine away from children and pet.
