Repeat custom is one of the most important things to aim for in any business dealings. Whilst in the short term it may seem as though getting the best possible price for goods or services will be the most effective way to ensure you increase profit as much as possible, should you ensure that the same customers and clients return to you again and again, you are going to find that your business is far more lucrative.

When it comes to securing repeat custom, it is also not always about how much you charge, and in many cases it will not even be about the quality of the goods or services you offer (although ensuring customers get value for money is also extremely important). Instead, the customer service that clients or customers receive is far more likely to inform how loyal your client base is.

Therefore, it is important in any business dealings to be as friendly, helpful and courteous as possible. Make sure that the staff dealing with customer relations and making any deals are ‘people persons’ and that they always strive to go that extra yard for your clients.

When dealing with customers that are abroad, put yourself out for them. Rather than simply assuming they will speak your language, look into business translation to show that you are willing to make the process as easy as possible for them. The added bonus of language translations is that you can ensure that there will be no miscommunication and that the entire process will be sped up at the same time.

Ultimately, the best way to improve business relations is to put yourself out for the client. Try finding a middle ground and ensure that you and your staff take the time to make them feel that they truly are important to you.
