Improve Immunity To Alleviate Allergy
Do you ever squirm seeing the flowers blooming? Have you experienced sneezing or itching in spring season? Probably you may be caught up with allergy.
Recent data on prevalence of ailments around the world show epidemic increase in number of people suffering from allergies of skin and respiratory tract. These are one of the top reasons for visiting the doctor. Some great minds are of the opinion that this increase may be attributed to "hygiene hypothesis" which states that cleaner environment, antibiotics and over zealous immunization is the main culprit. But whatever be the reason the answer lies not in suppressing the symptoms with antihistaminic & steroids but to boost body's innate capacity (Immunity).This only can be the long term effective solution.

Ayurveda always recommends taking detoxifying remedies during spring season as the toxins tend to clog during this time. After the channels are clean through Biocleansing (Panchkarma) one may opt for immunomodulator herbs according to his/her symptoms, body constitution (Prakruti) and severity.
The herbal medicines act by improving detoxifying capacity of liver, biocleansing (Panchkarma) and improving immunmodulation.
Simple health tips for alleviating allergies:
Increase intake of turmeric in diet .This is a proven antiallergic.
Cumin, ginger, fennel and coriander are also recommended.
Follow routine exercise like walking, jogging, pranayam, cycling etc.
Taking flaxseed every night with lukewarm milk ensures the bowel clean and removes clogged toxinsr
Reduce intake of salt, fried food and sour articles like sauce, curd and pickles etcr
Sprouted green gram is good as it contains vitamins, natural enzymes and digested proteinsr
Reduce free radicals in the body by taking AMLA (Indian gooseberry), carrots and raw garlic.
Avoid sudden extremes of temperature. Give your body some time to adjust.
Get adequate rest. Sleep deprivation as seen in workaholic people reduces the immunity.
Detoxify your body using biocleansing (Panchkarma) mainly during spring season.
Avoid over stress. Meditation and pranayam (breathing exercises) work.
