Diabetes is a very serious and common problem that people are suffering from now a days. It is a disease of the metabolic system which involve the ability of the body in metabolizing sugar by using the hormone insulin. The main function of insulin is that it helps the cells to use the simple sugar glucose which is required for energy, growth and repair. Diabetes as a disease in simple words can be defined as a disease in which blood glucose, or sugar, level of the sugar are too high.
Our eating habbits are very much responsible for causing diabetes. Whatever we eat glucose comes from the food. As we have already mentioned above that insulin is a hormone that helps the glucose get into your cells to give them energy. Diabetes are classified as Type 1 diabetes and Type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is that when your body does not make enough insulin. Type 2 diabetes is the more common type of diabetes. This type of diabetes occur when body does not make or use insulin properly. Insulin is required to pass the glucose in blood.
Symptoms of Diabetes mellitus
People suffering from Diabetes mellitus experience following common symptoms:-
1) Frequent urination
2) Irritability
3) Frequent skin, bladder or gum infections
4) Extreme unexplained fatigue
5) Being Very Thirsty
6) Blurry vision
7) Tingling or numbness in the hands or feet
8) Wonds that dont heal
Researcher are of the view that there are no particular causes that is responsible for causing Diabetes mellitus.
Treatment of Diabetes mellitus
Diabetes mellitus is very common problem and proper treatment should be taken to avoid any serious side effect. Glucobay is one of the medicine used for the treatment of Diabetes mellitus. 4) Pregnant and breastfeeding should not use this medicine without doctor recommendation as use of this medicine may harm the health of unbo
baby or nursed child.
You should inform your doctor or health care professional if you are taking any prescription, non prescription and herbal medicine to avoid any drug interaction. Take this medicine as it is prescribed by the doctor. Do not increase or decreased the dose of the medicine on your own. The medicine should be taken with the first bite of every meal3 times a day. The drug can be used alone or in combination with Insulin, Metformin or solfonylureas.
