Penny stocks are generally those stocks which are available at a very low price. In America, penny stocks are those whose price is less than a dollar. In India, the penny stocks are those whose share price is less than Rs. 10. This share is usually of small scale companies whose capital is very low. Mostly these companies are in loss or on a very few profits. In such type of stocks, mostly the representative or promoters of the company are engaged in trading. The price of such type of share is increased by printing true or false news. These shares are traded at a low volume, therefore, it can say that these shares have a liquidity problem. Due to the low cost, the investor gets stuck in many times, but investing in such stocks at the advice of someone is very risky.
To Invest in Penny Stocks or Not:An investor like to invest in penny stocks because they are available at a low price. They have chances of rising in the price in less time. Sometimes penny stocks give higher profit in less time. There is a lot of risk in penny trading. Typically, when prices rise, the trader gets out of such stocks on the spot, but the prices come back to the last position and the investor gets nervous.
Sometimes turnaround share can be found in penny stocks. If in fact you found such stock and invest in it, then it can prove to be a good investment. If a company whose previous history has been very good and has gone in loss due to some circumstances, but there is a demand in the market of the company's goods, large capital and good sell, then the risk of investing will be fewer lives. The expansion of its products with the loan taken after a while seems likely to bring the company back into profits. The shares of such companies are called turnaround shares.
