Is Fear Devouring You And Your Dreams?

I have spent many a night lying in bed, petrified…

Fear appearing like a real person…

Holding me dow

Scaring the living daylights out of me as I allowed my mind to be fed with all kinds of thoughts of destitution and poverty and ‘being laughed at’ and ‘being unworthy and unable’

And in those moments, it would all seem so real…

Fear was good but I got better…

I learnt that you cannot stay still under such an attack…

You had to fight back

You had to move

You could not just stay there listening, thinking, allowing fear to colour your every thought and action…

Because then you would quit

And in the cold light of surrender, you would realise that it was all false

Nothing about what fear had delivered to you, was ever really real…

But it gets worse as you sit still trying to figure it all out from the comfort of NO MOVEMENT!

Fear does not get smaller by all the overthinking!

IT GETS BIGGER!

I learnt that!

Have you learnt that yet?

I learnt how to use prayer, affirmations, meditation to bring myself back to centre…

I learnt to run straight at the thing that scared me

I learnt to bring myself back to power by choosing and choosing AND CHOOSING not to dwell on all the things I did not want but instead to dwell on what I choose to create…

And when I over thought and just stayed static, fear increased…

When I moved, when I acted, FEAR SHRUNK!

Fear could even be an ally as I saw where it did not want me to go and I went there and benefitted from the bigger wins because I dared more than most people ever would…

Know this – Your fear is not real

Just as your dream, the vision, the thing you desire, is not real yet…

YOU get to choose which one becomes real…

And fear can seem so overpowering at times and it will make you think that it is more real than the dream…

And so you will then focus more on all the things you do not want and head steadily towards them because that is where your focus always was…

OR you can choose to deliberately focus on what you do want…

And run towards the very thing you fear and you will see that it was a paper tiger…

It was not real but now you have created the thing that you really do want

And WOOHOO!!!

You are stronger, more resilient, more courageous than ever before!

Stop overthinking all the negatives and instead…

Fight for, deliberately design the life you are born to live

Because you want to!
