It’s not harmful to leave children with pets

Children are great fans of pets. They like having their own pet to pass a quality time with them. When the pets are around, children do not need anything else. Parents sometimes are found to be strictly against of keeping pets. They think that it is unsafe to keep children with animals as there are chances of animals biting the children. There are some safety issues that parents can take before introducing any child with an animal.

Before they choose any animal as their pets, they should go for a research and make sure whether the pet is not harmful for children. After a scientific research, it has been found out that dogs are good for children as they care for the toddlers and children don’t face any physical trouble when they are with dogs. Another preferable pet can be a Syrian hamster. Hamsters are very small in size and are considered to be ideal because they take less time to mingle up with human beings than a dog and a cat. Moreover, keeping a hamster is less expensive than the other larger animals.

In abroad, mostly in European countries, children are allowed to take their pets along with them in the schools. Cages are made for the pets so that they can be kept in the cages during the class hours of the children. But in India it is still not allowed to take the pets along with to the schools. It has been found that when children are with their pets, they don’t give importance to any other thing. In that case, if they bring their pets in the schools then they will concentrate in their classes less as compared to the situation if they don’t bring any pet.

But on the other hand, it is necessary for the children to be in touch with animals. If they start taking care of their pets then they can also take care of anybody. It also builds a sense of responsibility in them. The responsibility of caring for the pets should not be left to the children alone because they are not familiar with handling anything especially if it is a living thing. Parents should teach the children how to be kind with them.

They should also tell them to play safely with animals as animals are not as sensible as human beings are. Parents also should make it a point to keep the pets clean as if they are not kept clean then it may affect the health of the kids. The immune system of the children is not as strong as adults’. To keep them disease free, pets should be kept clean and children should be instructed to keep a minimum of distance from their pets.

Schools in India do not have any arrangement for animals. Unlike schools abroad, Indian schools are strict about not letting any animal enter inside the school premises as it may disturb the atmosphere of the school. Not only the primary level students but the grownups will also get involved with the animals.
