It’s not Personal, it’s Just Business

We’ve heard this many times in business, or at least I have. I’ve never been too sure how one can separate “personal” and “business” or if we even should.

One reason I am an entrepreneur and probably the most important reason is my desire to serve, to make a real difference in people’s lives. I’ve spent many years doing many different things but for as long as I can remember I had a desire to make a difference. I wanted to do something important and important is different for different people.

Whatever it is that you do the most important thing we can all do is bring our Heart into our business. When we bring our Heart to the table people feel it and they like it. Especially today in the world of technology, e-mail, voicemail and text messaging what we really want is to connect. Even if we think we’re too busy, it’s what we really want.

It doesn’t matter what your business is, your clients will trust you when they sense your authenticity and sincerity. It’s not just about good business but about humanity as well. The referrals you’ll get from that goes way beyond any marketing you could ever do.

The way we can really bring this kind of Heart to business is to be free of fear ourselves. When we truly understand that as we serve and honor our fellow human all of our needs and desires are met with ease and grace. So we don’t have to worry that if we do this job we’ll miss out on this higher paying job etc. We know that as we serve with joy and generosity we too are provided for. It is from this place of inner safety and security that we can offer the gifts that we are here to provide.

As entrepreneurs we can make our own rules. We have endured a lot of “programming” about what business is and how it looks. But as we step out of the box we can express our true nature. Fear is generally a big part of living outside the box or even considering living outside the box.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and hypnosis are a couple of the most powerful tools you can use to release fear and shift your programming so that you can live your life and your business with Heart. If you think about all of things you haven’t done that you would have liked to have done, I’m willing to bet that fear is the reason you didn’t. What if I fail? What will people think? These are the fears that keep us locked up and ultimately that keep us from succeeding at the level we are meant to succeed at.
