There is a buffer area located in the park and is known as Sonandi wildlife sanctuary. This was established in year 1936 by the name of Hailey national park.
Jim Corbett was one of the famous environmentalists of the world and had a deep passion for the wildlife. He is the famous author of book “man eaters of kumaon”. Jim Corbett was from British origin. He is also called conservationist and hunter.
