It really is all about Me!! Isnât It?
Written by Judy Lynn
Or more to the point, really about YOU!!! Who do you really think is going to look after you if you don’t? The systems? Let’s get as real as we can while still being part of this illusion. You are the only one that really can know yourself and to do what it takes for you to get where you are going and to be healthy and happy.
It is such an interesting thing to hear someone say two little things are more important than money, ‘that at least I have my health and I’m happy’. How incredible that it might be said that our culture chases after money more aggressively than health and happiness combined. Is it because money is quantifiable? Or maybe that health and happiness feels good yet won’t get us things to surround ourselves in comfort. And happiness is each person’s perception defined in the moment and ever changing of course.
Today I wake up and realize that even if it is about me allowing another to help me I have to be accepting of that assistance. That we are either rejuvenating or degenerating andnthere is no neutral. What we think, feel and put in our bodies contributes to either living or dying. This includes the people we surround ourselves with and what we do everyday. Have You taken time to consider what focusing on negativity does to you whether your own or someone else’s? That when we really are going for the Gold of Health and Happiness it will be the ‘I’ that makes the difference. Me and the amount of time and energy I spend investing in and on myself.
Back to the point, the amount of time and energy You invest into yourself! Starting today can You think of one thing that would serve You in slowing down and giving to yourself. It might look like a meditation practice, a new exercise routine or maybe it is the class at the local education facility on how to speak Spanish. We are surrounded everyday with choices and yes if You were to spend each conscious moment consciously deciding You might not even get out of bed in the morning, so start slow. Choose one area of your life that You feel less satisfaction with and make one decision to change or eliminate something. Stick with that until it becomes automatic and then move on to whatever it is next You would like to adjust. Imagine if once a month You were able to make one small change, what the picture would look like after a year, two years, a life time.
I hope You will start with the areas of Your life that directly affect the two things that are most valuable to invest in. I have experienced firsthand that when I am healthy and happy my income increases and the more health and happiness the more energy to create wealth. Isn’t about time that You became an inside investor and affected the one thing You are in control of? I hope today is the day You choose to invest in the one it really is all about, YOU!
