The world is what we see with our eyes. Eyes grant us the sensory gift of vision, and hence they are our most precious assets. What we see is what we believe. But, what if these assets become ill and our vision of this world becomes hazy? To avoid this, you need to take good care of your eyes. Eye health neglect is a massive mistake and an unforgivable one. rnEye Care Tips: • Have a good, restful sleep for at least 8 hours every night. This keeps your eyes healthy. Tired and groggy eyes make it difficult to have a focused vision making us unable to concentrate on work. • Consume foods rich in vitamins A, C, E, zinc, lutein, and zeaxanthin in adequate quantities. Dark green leafy vegetables like kale, spinach, broccoli, sweet corn, egg yolk, sweet potatoes, squash, red grapes, green and orange peppers, kiwi, mango, peaches, collard greens, papaya, lima beans, and apricots are great foods for eye health. • If you have vision problems, visit an ophthalmologist or optometricist and get your eyes assessed regularly. Always wear glasses or contact lenses appropriate for your eyes. Never go with bare eyes if you need these vision aids. • Rinse your eyes 2-3 times a day. If you suffer from dry and burning eyes, use eye lubricants or rose water drops for soothing relief. • If you work on computer or laptop daily, make a habit of blinking your eyes for a couple of times daily. This will help ward off conditions like dry eyes and CVS (computer vision syndrome). • Always wear appropriate sunglasses before stepping into the sunlight. Overexposure to the harmful UV rays of sun is highly damaging for your eyes. • Comb your hair regularly and perform various facial and eye exercises. These activities improve blood circulation to the eyes ensuring good health. • Just like the rest of the body needs protection against destructive free radicals, eyes too need to be protected against its harmful effects. Consuming eye supplements like i caps ensures that you get the nutrients essential for eye health that are often missed in diet. You can’t afford to take eye health casually. ICaps is a highly effective lutein eye vitamin. You can take it both for risk reduction of special eye conditions or for general eye health maintenance. It is highly recommended to be consumed once daily for individuals above 40. • Never put strain on your eyes. Always read or watch television in full light. • If you are suffering from hypertension, always take your pills on time. If your BP shoots too high, you may lose your vision. The same goes for diabetes. Take your diabetes medications properly to avoid eye nerve damage. rnCare for your eyes. Clear and bright eyes indicate a healthy vision. See the beautiful picture of this world through a clear and full view.
