The Law of Attraction is a relatively simple concept. What you focus on expands, and like things will always attract other alike things. That one sentence tells you all you really need to know about the Law of Attraction. However, knowing what the LOA is and actually using the LOA in your daily life are entirely different things.
The actual application of this is not as easy as it would seem to be. Many times people struggle because they leave out certain factors while they are trying to create something in their life. The following list is what I believe are the essential ingredients for a successful manifestation of a desire or goal.
#1. Allowance- In short, you need to allow things to appear in your life with minimum resistance. The opposite of allowance is resistance. You need to allow everything and resist nothing. Resistance brings your focus onto whatever you are resisting and allowance allows your focus to be wherever you want it to be. Allow things that you interpret as negative to be in your life. The strength that the negativity draws from your resistance is cut off when you just allow that negative thing/person/situation to be there. Remember that What You Resist Persists. Go with the flow of life and practice allowance so that you can make space for your ambitions to take form.
#2. Detachment-Is not being afraid of failure and not being afraid of what would happen if your goal does not come into reality. Fearing or worrying makes attracts more fearing and worrying instead of your goal. This is similar to allowance in the way that non-resistance is emphasized. When you really practice detachment, the resistance in the way of your desires disappears because you are OK with everything and your positive emotions are the only thing doing the creating. There is no fear or worry working against you in the background to slow things down. I tell myself that the worst that can happen is I will have to deal with a few uncomfortable emotions for a while if I fail. If you believe that you are a spiritual being having a human experience, you should have no problem with detachment because you understand the real "you" is untouchable by the physical world.
#3. Desire- Your manifestations need to be powered by strong emotions and desire. You need to want something before you can have it. This might be a bit obvious but something that I have noticed in myself and others is that we sometimes establish goals for ourselves based on shaky foundations.
An example would be someone who strives to be the best piano player in the world, simply because their parents wanted that for them. That desire to be a piano player came from another person and was not something that originated from within. This person could probably produce a decent amount of desire/emotional fuel when they think of making their parents proud, but in the long run, that goal is not going to take that person to the best place they can be.
Make sure every goal that you set for yourself is worth your time. If something doesn't excite you from just thinking about it, throw it out. Think of goals that resonate with you to the core. These types of goals keep you motivated and focused and will make you feel 10x more fulfilled when you actually make them a reality.
#4. Focus- To manifest a desire, you need to be focused on that desire. Most people understand that focus is what makes the Law of Attraction work but they don't actually do as much focusing on their goal as they should. Ideally, your goal should cross your mind at least 20 times a day for a few minutes.
#5. Personal Belief Systems- Personal beliefs like I'm not good enough, worthy enough, smart enough etc. are a major roadblocks to Law of Attraction success. These beliefs will make those statements seem true if they are left in place. You need to morph your personal belief system into that of your best self. You do that by simply thinking of yourself as smart, talented, witty, or whatever you want until your subconscious mind gets the message. The subconscious mind only knows images and emotions. When you communicate to the subconscious mind with those things, you gain power over your subconscious and belief system. Remember, beliefs are simply thoughts that are thought over and over again. Keep directing your thoughts towards your desired belief system and your subconscious mind will eventually go along.
#6. Clarity- Know exactly what you want. Your goal should be crystal clear in your mind and you should know what your end result is going to be in detail. Don't worry about how you are going to get to that end result because the Law of Attraction takes care of that. Just have a detailed picture in your mind of what mission accomplished looks like instead of some general concept.
#7. Positive Mental Mindset- It's important to stay positive throughout your journey to reach your desire. If you think about it, many of the most successful people of history took a pretty bumpy path to get to their greatness. So do not worry if things start to change rapidly around you. Understand that when you use the Law of Attraction to attract a reality that is dramatically different from the present moment, there will be some some twists and turns. Some of this twists and turns may look bad, but they will pass. This is part of the process, just maintain a positive outlook no matter what happens and nothing can knock you off the path you have chosen.
To summarize...
Relax and allow your manifestations to take place.
Let anything you perceive as negative in your life be there and allow. This keeps those negative things from drawing strength from your focus.
Set goals that ignite passion and emotion from within you. Set your own goals for yourself and don't let society or your peers change your mind.
Maintain focus on your goal. Keep your eyes on the prize and think of your goal often.
Make sure your beliefs about yourself are open to your proposed goal. If a part of you doesn't feel that the current you is worthy, make the change needed inside yourself.
Be crystal clear on what it is that you want and leave nothing to doubt. Vague pictures in your mind will not do much.
Stay positive about your goal and do not let your ever changing world worry you. Maintaining a positive mindset in the face of negativity is crucial to manifesting your dreams.
Keep those things in mind as you visualize and set out to make your desires a reality. If you truly practice these things on an everyday basis, it will only be a matter of time before things start to come together for you.
