Hostages held by Pollens and Molds!

This might sound like a tabloid feature, but sometimes it seems too close to truth. What can we do to fight these problems without buying into the local drugstore and all their expensive "remedies"? This article will have two parts. Natural easy ways to fight the symptoms, and how to use effective "energy medicines" to desensitize your body to common allergens.

The airbo
e allergies in Phoenix are becoming incredible. Our paving of the desert has put the ancient Sonoran soils into our atmosphere. Analyze these soils and you have molds, fungi, mummified animal dung, and other surprises right there in every breath. Then, our cars and homes add their modern pollutants to the soup, and we all start to notice "allergies". To fight this battle, we need to use herbs and foods that strengthen our membranes, calm our nerves, and help us get rid of toxins. So here are some ideas.

To strengthen your respiratory membranes keep a couple of spray inhalers at hand. One would be a salt water mix (1 tsp. per cup), and the other a 5% mixture of organic honey in water. Both of these will soothe and moisten the parts of you that can get parched and irritated by our air. Have little spray bottles and spritzers to use at red lights and breaks at work. Sniff and breathe these in frequently. Foods to avoid are those that cause congestion and exhaustion. Dairy treats and sugary things will usually contribute to mucus and lower your immunity. Avoid these and most refined flours during your allergy times and you will avoid a lot of grief.

Look into a few herb teas and read up on their use. Nettles, Coriander, Licorice, Turmeric, Trifala, and Melissa all have gentle applications to help you endure or avoid allergies. So, have these near and know how to use them. Also, think through the world of air filters, ionizers, and keeping your environment as clean as you can. Try a coriander tea at 3 cups per day. It works better tha
Benadryl, for some people, without the drowsiness. Another membrane stabilizer is Nettles. The freeze-dried capsules work best at 2 every 4 hours for most adults.

To clear the sensitivities that include severe allergies, I find the gold standard is using energy medicine to diagnose (such as the 'ACUPRO II' software on Computronix equipment or Kinesiology methods) and the N.E.A.T. system, (described elsewhere in this site) for desensitizing. This system involves stimulating a series of acupuncture points while the patient holds the offending energies for 15 minutes. All of these techniques and devices are non-invasive, not painful, and relativelyninexpensive.

Call my office at (480)443-9212, if you would like to schedule an evaluation. Some people even get relief from allergy shots that the MD's use. If it works, then get the help you need. I find our methods are better, but both MD's and Naturopathic Doctors would all agree that too many people are suffering, while effective treatments will relieve their pain. Try these simple ways to help your symptoms and if you need more help, get together with a Doctor that trained primarily in natural medicine. You can do better than enduring the misery of allergies.
