If you ask me for a suggestion to take a road trip in India, then you can quickly hear, 'Bhai pick up the bike and get out towards Leh-Ladakh bike journey!' This suggestion is also reasonable, after all, travelling between the snow-covered mountains, talking with the gentle breeze, life is a different experience. So, to realize this experience myself, I also set out on a journey to Leh-Ladakh tour package. Let me tell you the story of my journey, and if you also think of travelling in this snowy desert of India, then there are some important tips for you! rnLeh - Pangong Tso On the way, you will see lots of yaks, Ladakhi goats and two hump camels. Pangong Lake is one of the highest altitudes of saltwater lakes. Both the weather and the view here are very pleasant, and the water of the lake cools down. The colour of lake water also changes with time in the day. The height of this place is higher than that of Leh. By the end of September, most guest houses are closed because the temperature goes down, and it becomes difficult to stay here. Luckily, we found a guest house, which was opened for us and we spent a night there. The level of oxygen was so low that we could not sleep at night due to a headache. rnLeh Cityrn rnThe road to Nubra valley was closed for two days, and that's why we had to spend the day in Leh city. Leh is an ancient city which is very small, and a view of the entire city can be taken from Shanti Stupa or Leh Palace. There are also many shops where you can buy unique, memorable gifts. rnLeh - Khardung-La Passrn rnAs soon as we came to know that after Khardungla Pass the road leading to Nubra Valley is also closed, we hired a motorcycle and headed for Khardungla because it is the world's highest motorable Is one of the roads. Khardungla is about 24 km from Leh city. We took about 10 km. Must have travelled that we had to face heavy snowfall. rnSomehow, we travelled two more kilometres and reached Dakshina Pullu. There is an army station on South Pullu which also has medical facilities. There is also a shop where you can get hand gloves, clothes for winter, Maggi and other essential items. rnHow did we reach Leh? rnWe reached Srinagar and caught an Air India plane from here to Leh. The worst part of this plane is that it only flies on Wednesdays, but the best part is that in the offseason these flights are quite economical (₹ 2000 / - per person). rnAlthough we wanted to take a road trip, we knew that the road trip would be quite breathtaking and full of natural beauty, but due to lack of time, we could not go through the road. rnWhere to stay in Lehrn rnWe stayed at the Oriental Guest House, which is just below the Shanti Stupa. Our breakfast and dinner were included in the room rent. There was also a central heating system in some rooms, that is, if you want to stay here in the winter season, then there is a good arrangement to avoid the cold. The people of this homestay are very polite and courteous. rnHow to travel in Leh? rnBikes are easily available on rent in Leh. There is also a taxi union which has fixed the rate of fare for taking a taxi. You may find that taxi in Leh costs more than other cities in India, but when you think about the weather here and the high geography of Ladakh, the fare will be reasonable. rnAny essential goods? Must have sunglasses. Must have sunscreen, Boro Plus is quite popular here. Make sure to keep winter clothes, gloves and caps to cover your ears (if you want to ride a motorcycle here)! rnPro Tip - Do relax! Because if you are going to one of the highest places in the world, then you are going to complete the preparation. If you have trouble breathing or have high blood pressure, consult a doctor before leaving. rnHealthy people are also advised to reach Leh and rest for one to two days as the body needs time to get into the environment here. And yes, don't forget to drink plenty of water.
