Life Perspective

The personal growth that comes with experiences will shape your life perspective. These are based on your values and personal choices that you learn from these experiences. This life perspective will shape the type of person you are and can be the driving force with your ability to BECOME YOUR VERY BEST.
An easy way to illustrate this is to ask you the age old question that we have answered time and time again. Imagine you are looking at a 16 ounce glass that has 8 ounces of water in it. Do you know what the question is? You got it, "how full is this glass?"
If your life perspective tends to be more pessimistic, your answer is half empty.
If your life perspective tends to be more optimistic, your answer is half full.
However, there is another answer that no one ever gives. The answer is 100% FULL. How did I come to that fact? Well, let me ask you a few other questions first to see if you can change your own view:
1. How much water is in the glass?
2. What is the rest of the glass filled with?
3. How full is the glass?
Did your answers change? When I do this in training and coaching sessions with people, 90% plus of the people change their answers. The reason is that you changed your view. As you can see, this glass is full with water and air (yes, I said full)
This question that you have answered the same way for years, now you have a different answer because of a new point of view. This is a new perspective! Use this simple mind change with the other questions you hear everyday. Challenge yourself to think of a new solution. Be creative, be daring, and be bold!
Never underestimate the importance of how your life perspective will impact your ability to grow and succeed. Always let your life experiences shape you to better, smarter, and able to BECOME YOUR VERY BEST!
