DiabetesIndia is the diabetes capital of the world. Around 62 million people suffer from diabetes in our country. Individuals must know that once they are diabetic, it stays their entire life. Diabetes is caused due to increased blood sugar level. Smoking, obesity and inactive lifestyle may easily lead to such disaster. One should know what are the major causes that lead to diabetes in avoid them.

ObesityObesity is another common lifestyle disease seen in Indians. Being over weight is different from being obese. Obesity has adverse consequences on your body. Obesity is such a disease that leads to a lot of other diseases as well. Therefore, you should always keep a track of your body weight. Body Mass Index (BMI) is the ratio of your weight to your height. A healthy individual's BMI should be between 18.5 to 24.9. Maintain your body's weight as per your height to keep the value of BMI in the normal range. 25 to 29.9 shows that you are over weight. BMI of value 30 or higher indicates that you are obese.
Once you reach the over weight range of BMI make sure you hold control over your weight before it increases and reaches its obese level. Prevention is always better than cure. Make sure you prevent the risk of obesity. If you know you are over weight, make certain changes in your daily diet to avoid further increase in your weight. This will not only control your weight issues but also avoid so many risks of other major diseases caused due to obesity.
CancerCancer is rapidly increasing in India. Smoking causes cancer. These words are written behind every cigarette and tobacco packets. Smoking is one of the major reason that cause cancer. It is a life-taking disease.
There are many other reasons as well that may lead to cancer. We should take proper precautions to avoid the occurrence of any form of cancer. On the other hand, it is advisable to include healthy food items in your diet. A well balanced healthy meal keeps your body fit and boosts your immune system. This helps your body to fight diseases.
Every individual must undergo a routine checkup once a year and keep track of their health status. This helps them in maintaining a better lifestyle.
