Increase Sales with Video
Written by Lizzi Loraine
In any business, there are three ways in which you can increase sales.
Finding new customers to buy from you.
Making your customers return to you every time.
Each time they visit, get customers to buy more.
Of the three steps listed above, the first is perhaps the hardest. Most businesses spend thousands of dollars to find new customers. What if you could identify one effective marketing tool that converts prospects at an amazing rate of 20-30%?
The video is an effective marketing tool in the online marketer’s toolkit. In fact, 2008 is touted as the year of the video.
In the past, marketers depended heavily on text messages to get them new customers. They printed glossy magazines by cartloads, sent away newsletters written by experts and printed sales letters that cost them millions of dollars. Yet, a good percentage of the effort and money going into these marketing strategies went kaput! Brochures ended up in trash bins and sales letters were often found below coffee cups.
Why?
Simple. This is the age of information overload. There is so much going on around you that most people simply don’t have the time to read through brochures, newsletters and sales copy, no matter how well written they are. There really is little time to sort through a full to bursting mailbox!
That’s where the video delivers a hard punch. The video is an effective marketing tool that quickly cuts through paper clutter and brings instant results.
You can increase your sales with high-quality videos because:
Video makes use of compelling graphics that arrest the viewer’s attention almost immediately.
Videos appeal to the eye, ears and reason. Thus, they offer a more rounded experience to viewers.
Video is easy. It downloads quickly and doesn’t require your prospect to read through pages of small type.
Video is unambiguous. The results are there for your prospects to see.
Video testimonials and video reviews give away a lot of information and prospects are able to make an informed decision based on what they see.
Video creates immediate rapport between the sales person and the prospect. It effectively transmits your sincerity, depth of knowledge and commitment to the program you are promoting.
Surveys show that videos instigate immediate action. Your viewers may not immediately make the all-important buying decision, but your videos help clients make up their minds faster than long-winded sales letters.
Of course, videos that sell need to deliver effective messages in a clear and lucid manner. They should aim to drive home the marketing message through the clever use of pictures and words. Additionally, they need to look clean and professional. Only then will you be able to increase your sales with videos.
