Love Is Possible for Ladies Over Thirty

I’m sorry did I miss out on the belief that when you’re in your thirties anyone will do? Have all the good ones really gone or are gay? Who wrote the book that says when you hit thirty abandon all your standards, heart felt wishes and romantic expectations or you’ll end up a lonely old lady?

Ok meeting someone may be a challenge, and panic can set in when we notice we’re the only single person in the room, but that doesn’t mean it’s all over for you and that he doesn’t exist. Many of us loathe being labeled ‘unlucky in love’ having friends feeling sorry for us and try to set us up on dates. Often we think we have to take whatever’s out there or face being alone.

The worst thing you can do is give up. Then the next wrong thing to do would be to try and hunt him done like prey which will only make you look and feel desperate. There is a philosophy which subscribes to dating a few men at the same time rather like playing the field. Again I think this hinders rather than helps you because the name of the game to me is simple, having faith.

Walk in faith and clear your life of old baggage and old boyfriends and understand that you’re not looking for a man to ‘fix’ you or be fixed because you know and like yourself as you are. Take time to explore what type of relationship you ideally want and what both of you will bring to the table. Also think about what qualities and values he should have and how you will compliment and support them.

Have faith in the fact that love can come to you at any age in your life. Love doesn’t follow the rules we limit ourselves to, it isn’t ageist and it takes no notice of fear. Have faith that there is not just one man out there for you, but many and one of them will find you. All you have to do is have faith in the fact that you too deserve and shall have your Mr Right.

Finally, never ever settle for second best in any area of your life, especially love. Make sure that you insist upon the very best from yourself and others. Have high expectations of life because then you will be open to receiving all the good and exciting opportunities available.
