Make your resume best

A resume should be unique and different from all the other resumes. It not only gains an upper hand from all the other resumes but also gives the interviewer a good prospectus about the applicant. A good resume doesn’t mean that you need to follow a book full of rules to write a resume. It doesn’t need to look fancy or decorated. An individual doesn’t need to follow any specific resume format to make the resume good. Instead of following a bunch of tips and guidelines a good resume can just be simple and presentable.

If a resume is unique and different from all the other resumes coming in for the same post, it becomes easy for the interviewer to select from the other thousands of resumes. It gives the interviewer confidence that the individual is good at his/her work, that he/she has good communication skills and a good command over English. A good resume makes the interviewer believe that the individual is dedicated towards his/her work.

A good resume gives the measurement of an individual’s professionalism and gives a proof of his/her capabilities and ambitions. In short it represents an individual in his/her absence. It gives a basis to compare different individual’s applying for the same post.

A resume is used for first level of screening. If the resume is not well written the individual may not get short listed for the interview. So a good resume does create a very unique and different impression about an individual. After reading the resume the interviewer’s expression should be “WOW!” It gives the applicant an upper hand from everybody. A resume which is good and presentable gains the confidence of the interviewer and at times may even save the applicant from the vague, tough and confusing questions of the interviewer. A good resume simply just makes the interviewer feel happy about you.

To make a resume good and unique from others some basics things should be present in a resume like:

• Every page of the resume should include a page number. Many a times some resumes do not include a page number. This shows the interviewer how precise and perfect the individual is towards his/her work. Such small details do make an individual’s resume different and unique from the other resumes.

• A resume should always have a back to back print. This saves the resume from becoming lengthy. A resume should not be more than 2 pages. The interviewer doesn’t have the time to read the 3 page. So a short and sweet resume would help the individual gain an upper hand from all the other resumes.

• High-light all the important points in the resume. So it becomes easy for the interviewer to understand the individual’s strong points and the interviewer doesn’t need to struggle through the whole resume. So the individual’s resume can be selected easily from all other resumes

• Make use of tables wherever necessary in the resume. It makes the resume look presentable and neat and high-lights the important part of the resume.
