Manila is an important tourist destination in the Far East. People from Europe, especially from the UK, frequently go there to enjoy a laid-back vacation. It is no surprise that the aviation industry has witnessed a significant growth in the number of flights London Heathrow to Manila in recent years. Flights are even available from other airports of the UK, such as London Gatwick, Manchester, and Glasgow, to name a few here.

Talking about the tourist attractions in Manila, there is a lot to see here. Prominent among these are Plaza San Luis, Rizal Shrine, Fort Santiago, Mabini Shrine, Rizal Park, Malacanang Palace, Pasig River, Manila Bay, Philippine Normal University, San Agustin Church and Museum, Bonificio Shrine, China Town, Manila Cathedral, Bulwagang Get Antonio Villegas, Quiapo Church, Casa Manila, Ermita District, and the University of Sto. Tomas.

The above is a list of just a few places that are popular among tourists. There is a lot more to discover and explore here. The Filipino culture and civilization are among the oldest in Asia. The land has been ruled by people who have come here from different parts of the world at different times.

Spanish conquistador, for example, invaded the country a few centuries ago and built a walled city known as Intramuros within the geographical boundaries of modern Metro Manila. For several decades, Intramuros continued to serve as a strong bastion of Spaniards in Asia. Intramuros can excite the imagination of tourists who have a keen interest in Filipino history and civilization. Airlines do operate cheap flights Heathrow to Manila in order to serve the needs of students, researchers, and travelers on a budget.

The Spanish legacy can be seen everywhere and not just in Intramuros. The numerous churches and other historical structures erected during the era are a fine specimen of Spanish influence on the Filipino architecture. Rizal Park, Rizal Shrine, Mabini Shrine, and Bonificio Shrine are now regarded more as a symbol of Filipino nationalism and revolutionary spirit than just merely a tourist spot.

Manila has been at the center of all cultural development in the Philippines. A macrocosm of Filipino culture and tradition, the city has also embraced the cosmopolitan lifestyle in its metro areas. Despite the influence of modern lifestyle, the people here are closely tied to their ethnic roots. The ambience here is completely different from what you can find in a typical European city. Plan your journey and book Heathrow to Manila flights at the earliest to experience this new world
