Maruti Suzuki Ertiga - The Powerful and Spacious MPV

Rs. 6 lacs and Rs. 9 lac while the base model of Innova is available at Rs. 9.4 lacs. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in India will also deliver tough competition to Mahindra Xylo, which is priced around Rs. 7.24 lac.
New Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2012 will be available in both petrol and diesel variants in India. The petrol variants are powered by a 1.4 litre engine that generates maximum power of 95 hp at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 130 Nm at 4000 rpm. On the other hand, diesel variant of Ertiga boast 1.3-litre DDiS super turbo engine, which will produce maximum power of 90 hp at 4000 and peak torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm.
Combine with five speed manual gearbox, the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is expected to deliver excellent performance. Owing to such a powerful engine, the petrol variant of the Ertiga is likely to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in mere 15 seconds whereas the diesel variant will probably take 15.5 seconds to reach the mark of 100 kmph. The top speed of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is expected to be 155 kmph, which is amazing.
The interiors and exteriors of the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga are said to be inspired from Maruti’s popular hatchback Swift. Interior of the car has a beige theme, which enhances its appeal. The MPV can easily accommodate seven passengers. There is a division in the middle which enables the passengers to shift to third row.
Other interior features of the car includes roof-mounted AC vents, rear seat armrest along with cup holders, bottle holders, sunglass holders, coin holders and foldable rear seats. Though there is not much boot space but with the foldable rear seats, space for luggage can be created.
The car is equipped with power windows, electrically adjustable mirror and electric steering wheel along with mounted audio controls. For security purpose, the company has incorporated keyless entry, remote control central door locking system, fuel filler, and boot lid in the car. The driver’s seat comes with electric adjustments for the convenience of the driver.
Safety of the passengers is very important and hence the company has taken proper care of it in the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in India. Modern safety features are provided in the vehicle to make any journey safe. The safety features of the car consists ABS (Antilock Braking System) with EBD, two airbags, one each for driver and co-passenger, brake assist, engine immobilizer and high tensile roof. The ABS system protects the driver and the passengers of the car in case of any kind of collision. Loaded with these features Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in India is expected to be a success.
