How to have your best year EVER!
Written by Dale A Masker
For most of us, a new year means new resolutions, new goals and new motivation. However, sometimes by the end of January, most of the resolutions and goals have weakened in the face of everyday living. Having your best year ever is easy though.
No, really! Follow these three steps and you will almost certainly be able to create seemingly magical experiences innyour life.
1) Guard your attitude. It will determine how you realize your goals, what gets done and achieved. Improving your attitude is easy, focus on what you are grateful for each and every day. Make a list of the blessings in your life and post it where you can see it every day. Even if you think the only thing you have to be grateful for is a cup of coffee, write it down. Once you begin, many things will occur to you that are blessings. And remain focused on the blessings in anything that comes your way. Maintain total domination over your attitude, because it is your personal treasure and the one thing no one but you can affect.
2) Break down your goals into manageable steps. If you want to do more anything this year, define what that looks like, then go for it. Post your goal where you can see it and take one step towards your goal each day. Even if it does not feel like you are making progress, those little steps add up. This works for everything in your life. Why not try it?
3) Make a priority out of creating balance. Too many people do far too much for others and not enough for themselves. Make time to go to a spa, get a manicure, a massage, a round of golf, a pedicure or even just a hot bath complete with candles and wine every now and again. Treat yourself to a gift or flowers that are just as nice as you would send to someone else.
