We hear a LOT about detoxing the BODY these days. The Pros hang with the Master Cleanse. The Action-types go for the 3-day Fruit Fast. The ‘new kids on the block’ are singing the praises of the Cucumber Cleanse and the new scrumptious-looking Soup Detox, has many of us hanging on the edge of our seats.

You can find, at least, 100 different ways to detox the body or more; however, we hardly EVER hear ANYTHING about detoxing our minds, and detoxing the mind is probably JUST AS IMPORTANT, if not BEING THE FIRST PRIORITY, we need to consider for detoxification. Detoxing the mind, literally hits the ‘2 birds with 1 stone’ philosophy. Once you clear the MIND, it leads us down the path of detoxing the BODY…primarily, because we can now THINK CLEARER, for a change!

SO HOW DO I DO THAT?

1). Wellll….first LISTEN TO YOUR THOUGHTS. If you’re one of those people who play bad memories and negative stories over and over again, inside your head, like a broken record, STOP IT! Those stories NO LONGER serve you. WHY are you still playing the same ole tune, month after month, year after year? So, why are you still thinking about something that happened a year ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago? Seriously, are you kidding me? CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS, CHANGE YOUR MIND, CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!! I know. I know. It’s not that easy to change, however, it CAN be done. You must begin FOCUSING on something else…something like what are you going to do NOW to have a more fulfilled, fun-infused, and happier life. What does THAT look like? What happened to all those GOOD memories you had? Did you forget about those? Whether you think about those or not, whether you have many good memories or not, NOW IS THE TIME to ‘mentally EXTINGUISH all that negativity’, as you are co-creating with your Higher Spirit within, to create the life you’re living. The only problem is that you’re co-creating on DEFAULT. Since you don’t realize you’re co-creating, you KEEP creating the unwanted, no longer needed, stuff, that screws up your head everyday. Want MORE for yourself!? Stop letting ALL the bad things that have happened to you, keep happening in your thoughts, because your Subconscious Mind thinks that ‘those negative things’ are still happening in the present, so it mirrors what you’re thinking. ONLY YOU can CHANGE it, by FOCUSING on the new creations, you’re about to stir up in the pot (inside your head). If you’re living in a bad situation, RIGHT NOW, keep looking for answers to turn it around. If you feel you’re not strong enough to do it yourself, ask the Spirit within, to LEAD and GUIDE you, and just LET GO OF IT. SPARK UP your imagination. You remember how to do that, right? Imagine all that negativity draining out of your head and your body, and watch it land on the ground, like a pool of sewage, never to raise it’s ugly tentacles again. The answers will come (especially if you LET GO for real) OR the answer will just show up to help you out. Stop trying to climb the hill by yourself. Stop trying to control everything, ‘cause you can’t, do that anyway! JUST SURRENDER to the inner, Higher power, that keeps you breathing, that allows you to wake up every morning, that lets you see and hear, and that ALWAYS talks to you, when you LISTEN. It’s a tall order, so just GIVE IN and watch some miracles take place.

2). BE STILL FOR A FEW MINUTES EVERY DAY. UNWIND. KICK UP YOUR HEELS. CHILL. TURN OFF ALL THE TECHNOLOGY…and yes, that means your CELL PHONE, too. You can shut things down for 10 - 15 minutes a day. If you can’t, you’re REALLY in BIG trouble…addicted to noise and tech! Lordy be!!! This BEING STILL concept basically revolves around the fact that we’ve ALL been moving like ‘hawks in a tornado’, just to keep up with life’s demands, and we most definitely, FORGOT how to stop and SMELL THE ROSES, THE GARDENIAS & THE LILIES. This constant whirlwind of activity (some at the other end of the spectrum, being totally inactive) BOTH fall in a category that is NOT uplifting or going in the right direction for any of us. Life can be SIMPLER. Life can be ENJOYABLE. Life can be LESS COMPLEX. It’s all in how we look at it and how we approach it, on a day-to-day level. If you haven’t heard about the MINIMALISTS yet, this is a fresh new group of people, who believe we don’t need ALL THE STUFF we think we need. So, they’ve found ways to DOWNSIZE their STUFF. Less STUFF; less WORRY, right? This can be our entire new outlook on life, period. There is NO REAL NEED to have an over exaggeration of STUFF or an over exaggeration of MIND TURMOIL. Relaxing more, having more fun, and BEING STILL and QUIET for a small portion of the day, could make a HUGE difference for many people. Brilliant CEO’s know the significance of 10 -20 minutes of QUIET, at the beginning of the day. This helps them make FRESHER, CLEARER DECISIONS. It can help you too. We so seldom STOP (through the mad dash of the day), that so many of us, literally end up PASSING OUT when the day is over, instead of going to bed, like we’re NORMAL.

3). BEGIN SOME STRATEGIC MOVES TO GET RID OF EMOTIONAL ISSUES THAT YOU DON’T NEED: Many times, we take on WAY TOO MUCH (in our emotional lives) that we have no control over, anyway. What if this happened? What if that happened? Why is so-and-so doing this or that, and why is that important to you? When we can focus on what is in front of us, in a calm, relaxed manner; it’s a lot easier to find solutions. When we’re ‘caught up’ in an emotional tizzy, the solutions seem unnerving and disastrous, because our minds are ‘emotionally distraught’. SIDENOTE: In terms of emotional stress, calming oneself and being still daily helps a lot. This is why you see so many stories regarding MEDITATION these days, because meditation calms you, stills you, and allows you to shed some of that emotional turmoil. There are all kind of ways to do BASIC meditations. Find one that suits you or simply sit in front of a candle, on a chair or on the floor, with the spine straight and your hands on your thighs (turned upward) and focus on one simple thought. Tons of thoughts will come rushing to your mind, at first, however, pretend you’re looking at the candle (with your eyes closed) and just keep focusing on that, until your senses calm down and you merge into a state of peace and calmness. Simply SIT this way for 10 - 15 minutes and end by saying what you’re thankful for and what you’re grateful for, along with asking for blessings and protection throughout the day. Your day will start out SO MUCH SMOOTHER and be a lot more PEACEFUL, when you do. If you THRIVE on Drama, this QUIET THING may be a bit much for you.

4). EAT FOODS THAT RAISE YOUR MOODS; YET CALM YOUR BODY: As much as I LOVE Cokes and Pepsi, I seldom drink them anymore. Why? Because the caffeine and sugar in these drinks keep ANYBODY’S nerves on edge. If you drink these kinds of drinks, it’s best NOT to drink them before bed. They aren’t exactly ‘sleep motivating drinks’. If you don’t like TEA, at least, buy some Calcium/Magnesium powder to put in some of your better drinks (like 100% Organic Orange Juice or a green Superfood Drink) which helps a LOT with calming the nerves and the body. You can also ADD antioxidant supplements to help raise your moods, and to give you some vitamin and mineral protection, like, Glutathione and Astaxanthin…2 high antioxidants. What we put IN our bodies, matters. It’s either BENEFITTING you, or it’s not.

5). LEARN THE EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE OR EFT: The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) has a wonderful story behind it, however, I won’t go into it here; however, I will do an entire article on it sometime in the future. You can Google EFT or put it in the YouTube Search Engine and say, “Show me how to do EFT for getting rid of ANXIETY, or EFT for letting go of worry, or EFT for calming my mind.” EFT is a simple, easy technique that can help us in SO MANY WAYS. It’s ONE of those miracles that the Spirit has blessed us with through Energy Healing…of which our bodies are comprised of…TOTAL ENERGY. Put your information in the YouTube search engine and follow the instructor, while doing it right along with the person or persons you prefer, for your personally specified challenge. Seeing it done (on YouTube) makes it easier to do. If nothing else, it will calm your soul and make you feel WAY more peaceful about what was going on BEFORE you did EFT. It’s ONE of life’s small miracles and a definite God-send for all of us who think there is nowhere to turn, when actually IT IS! Works REALLY good for pain too!

These are just a FEW ways to help you EMOTIONALLY DETOX. Meditation happens to be the MOST POWERFUL, because it helps you do what you are unable to do on your own. In the meantime, all the other suggestions are FABULOUS too, so CHANGE YOUR BIAS, TEAR DOWN THAT WALL AROUND YOUR BRAIN, and MINIMIZE YOUR WAY to FREEDOM.

Janeska Smith Asante was born in New York, New York on a frigid winter night in November. Her mother had gone to New York to keep her pregnancy a secret from her parents, even though she was at least 26 years old. To hide her pregnancy, even further, she weighed the idea of throwing Janeska over the Brooklyn Bridge, for at least 24 hours. However, she couldn’t do it, and less than a month later, Janeska ended up living with her Cherokee grandmother, on a steep hill, in a great little yellow house, smack dab in the middle of the country…Omaha, Nebraska.

Her grandmother was a diabetic and she was often sick; so before even attending school, Janeska’s grandmother taught her to grow herbs and food in the garden. She taught her how to wash dishes, clean the house, and wash clothes. At 4-years-old, she was responsible for giving her grandmother Diabetes shots and putting her to bed with HER doll (who happened to be larger than Janeska).
All of her grandmother’s friends, became Janeska’s friends. They were all over 80 and looked at Janeska as their helper and their pathway to healing. Everyday, she was creating herbal concoctions (from the garden) and preparing them for her grandmother’s friends.

There were no children who lived in her grandmother’s neighborhood. So, Janeska just read health and healing books (most of the day) that came from her grandmother’s church, the Sharon Seventh Day Adventist Church of Omaha.

Janeska thought this was normal, for kids, since she didn’t have anything to compare it to, yet.

Her granddad was a Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) minister and health and healing was a HUGE topic in the SDA Church Community. Her grandmother didn’t really pay much attention to the Health aspect as she should, yet Janeska absolutely LOVED this information. She thought that the food part of the Adventist teachings were fabulous and  she spent every chance she got reading and experimenting with the herbs and remedies taught (from the Bible, from Jethro Kloss, from Ellen G. White, and other ‘whole body teachers’ of our time.

She was healing the elderly before she entered nursery school and she realized she came here with a gift and a knowledge far beyond her years. She even kept her grandmother from getting her leg cut off that doctors insisted must happen, simply from what she knew and studied, at the ripe old age of 4.

This is HOW it all started. Throughout the rest of her life, she continued to research and practice what she knew. After graduation from the University of Nebraska, with a degree in Journalism, she tripled her research and study, helping many people along the way. After that, she became Certified in Hypnotherapy & Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). She added an emotional component of her healing practice, which many people don’t realize is at the core of their illnesses.

Janeska is also a Self Realization Fellowship member, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda, who initiated and taught Mahatma Ghandi Kriya Yoga and meditation, which is also a huge part of the Mind-Body-Spirit Connection she uses when it comes to health and healing. She became a Kriya Yoga initiate, like Ghandi, in 2018.

She created a Customized Chart for clients and others, to see what areas they need help in. She sends the chart out through email and does online sessions for whomever requests it.

Once she analyzes the Chart, she gives recommendations in all areas of one’s being…Mind, Body & Spirit, so each person is guided to the right things to do to correct inharmonies in the body.

Over the last 3 - 4 decades, Janeska has created a wide range of skills.
