MINI Inspired by Goodwood

At the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed MINI unveiled the pricing and specification details of the MINI Inspired by Goodwood special edition model. People interested in becoming one of only 1000 owners of the special edition model can place their order now for £41,000 with deliveries due from March next year. I doubt there will be a lot of MINI deals around this limited edition, so it might be best to get in early and order one! The MINI Inspired by Goodwood has only been possible thanks to the collaboration between MINI and Rolls Royce. The exterior and interior design features come from the Rolls Royce Design division. The exterior paintwork is an exclusive Rolls Royce colour, Diamond Black metallic, which is met by 17 inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. On the interior, the dashboard, central console, air vents, carpets, heated lounge leather seats, roof lining, doors and interior cladding all feature the Rolls Royce colour Cornsilk. While the dashboard and door handle surfaces, are finished in Walnut Burr - a premium wood trim which is exclusive to Rolls Royce. The roof linings, sun visors and rear storage tray are cashmere and the foot-mats are deep-pile lamb’s wool, as found in current Rolls Royce models. The engine in the Goodwood inspired MINI is a 1.6 litre 184bhp four cylinder engine with Twin Scroll turbocharger as found in the new MINI Cooper S. Standard kit in the special edition MINI includes; Xenon Adaptive Headlights, Park Distance Control, automatic air conditioning, an onboard computer, MINI Navigation and the audio system Radio MINI Visual Boost, including a Harman Kardon hi-fi speaker system. The MINI is a British Motoring icon, seeing it donned in Rolls Royce colours is quite a picture and you do get taken back by it. If you weren’t at the festival fear not, you can have pictures online.
