Voodoo dolls have important places in the cultural imagination of our ancestors, as well as ours. In the past, practitioners used the old technique, which is actually still familiar to us and some still follow its traditions in making voodoo dolls. However, with the passage of time, people changed and their imaginations grew wider. They have incorporated a touch of modernism into the old tradition of making voodoo dolls. These dolls are not necessarily involved in black magic, nor in any negative energy; In fact, some are made primarily for fun and camaraderie with friends.

If you are interested in learning a sample of modern voodoo doll, then I am here to help you. The first thing you should do is gather your materials. You will need a full shot of the intended recipient's body, a printer transfer paper, white cloth, thread and needle, and their symbol pins with heads in the following colors: red, blue, green, purple, yellow, black, white, pink. In one of my lessons, I have discussed the meanings of these colors, but for those of you who are reading this for the first time, let me explain what the meaning of each color is voodoo priest.

It is important to know that voodoo practitioners use dolls primarily for negative things like hurting people or forcing romance. If you harm your boss for evil, karma dictates that the consequences for you will be worse. There are nine pins, as I have mentioned, each with a different symbol: red means death or ill health, blue for love, green for money or tranquility, purple for spirituality, yellow for success, black for repelling negative energy, white for healing , and pink for love and affection.

Now let's move on to the steps. First, you should clearly print your subject's photo as large as possible on photo transfer paper. There will be instructions with the photo transfer paper to transfer the image to a white ironed cloth. Follow that. From that fabric, cut out the recipient's body shape for the front and back. Don't forget to leave a seam. Once you have finished cutting, it is time to sew. Leave a hole near the center to make way for the filling. Also cut small holes in the armpits, fingers, and crotch to serve the same purpose. For the filling, you can use yarn, cotton or any filling material you want. Once your wrist is stuffed, you can now flip it inside out, but do it carefully. If you have a hard time pushing it with your fingers, you can use any stick or pencil. If you are already satisfied with the look of your doll, you can now sew the closed filler hole.

Also remember that if there is text or graphics in the image (like on the person's shirt), you must invert the image horizontally before printing. As a result, it normally appears later when it is on the wrist. Another option would be to cut a red fabric heart to cover that section.

People will have different tastes in their voodoo doll styles. Most modern dolls are immensely decorated with buttons, and some are very well dressed. Whatever your style, the only reminder is that you know what the meaning of these dolls are and, most importantly, you should do them with a clear conscience. Karma, as they say, is just around the corner. Therefore, it is better to make a voodoo doll when you are motivated by goodwill rather than revenge.
