Many of us have forgotten how important it is to be still, to spend a few moments daily to quiet the thoughts and relax our minds.
Taking the time to be quiet,to silence our minds and activities, helps us to renew our energy and creativity. It also increases our level of gratitude.

But we have been led to believe that we must be busy, doing something every moment.
If we are idle for any amount of time, we think we are not being productive; this is especially true for those of us who are 'high achievers.' Many times, however, being idle or quiet, is exactly what is needed.

Let me ask you:Have you ever taken the time to still your thoughts and activities and found in doing so that you were much more productive and creative after the period of silence ended?

Consciously building moments of silence into our daily routines,to focus on specific things perhaps, such as our hopes and dreams, will improve the quality of our lives and energize our activities.

For those of us who are serious about our personal development, spending time alone
quietly,is a must so that we can get to know ourselves, who we really are, and who we desire to become, since we are ever changing, growing.
Trying to figure this out amid the noise and chaos of everyday living is simply not practical,if it is doable at all.

Much is glanced over or missed altogether because we are so busy 'doing things.'
Deliberately taking time daily to quiet our thoughts,to 'come apart for a while',will give us the energy, focus and direction we need to continue our journey of self-growth and personal development, and it will help us to get a clearer perspective of the things that really matter in our lives.

So, here is the challenge:Will you commit to working into your day at least a ten(10) minute block of time where you quiet your thoughts, and focus on the things that really matter to you and your loved ones?
Preferably, this can be done in the morning,I have found that morning works very well for me, before your day gets going, or it can be done at night before you retire.

I believe if you consistently do this daily, you will soon be well on your way to accomplishing any goal, no matter how grand or lofty it may be.
