ONE SMALL THING

What is one small thing you can do today that will make a profound difference in the way you are and the way you see yourself? When considering the things which we could take on to bring about immediate and gratifying personal transformation they are many. We only need look at the areas of our lives where we are not fulfilled and ask ourselves not what’s wrong, but rather what’s missing.

It doesn’t take as much as we might believe to create a whole new experience of ourselves, for ourselves. We must first understand that who we see ourselves to be is founded in thoughts and beliefs which lead to actions and how we now approach our lives. Show me someone who sees them self as not good enough no matter their reason and I will show you a person with little motivation or desire to be any different. Yet when they access a whole new truth about themselves which causes a shift in what they currently believe what was impossible now becomes possible.

While there may be things in our past which have helped us to create an unflattering view of ourselves we truly do have the power to reshape this view thereby altering forever our destiny. While at first it may seem impossible to accomplish, just like learning to walk it only requires a single step repeated over and over again. Because each person’s view of life is personal and unique these strides can only be taken by us. No one else can walk us into our new and promising place. Though it may be trying at first we cannot afford to continue to live out a past which offers no hope for a different outcome. Instead we must endeavor to move ahead with our feet pointed toward whatever inspires us. Then without wavering and no matter what, we must be committed to just “one small thing,” picking one foot up and putting it down time and time again.
