MONDAY MOTIVATIONS © Getting Beyond Barriers, Incrnwww.GettingBeyondBarriers.orgrnMonday February 20, 2012 rnSEPARATION One of the most painful acts known to mankind is separation. The act or process of having to separate ourselves from past behaviors, ways of thinking and even others is many times a lonely and frightening place. So much so that many simply find it almost impossible hanging on to bitter ends. Perhaps the number one reason for the myriad of difficulties experienced with separating ourselves from most anything is the future we create in our minds of going on without whatever it is. Instead of seeing our future as happy, joyous and free most see a “B” movie at best. Like anything else what we believe to be true really is, for us. It may not be “really true” but for us it may as well be. There will come many times in our lives when we simply have to let go of a difficult past. No matter the area of life we cannot afford to project a limited future. Instead we must find a way to envision a future which sees us in a starring role creating and living the circumstances we would prefer. Separating ourselves from the bondage of anything which has us living beneath what’s possible for us is long overdue. Separation is not the end but a whole new beginning.
