Because of content of large no. of cells and tissues of multiple functions, cancer tissues get spread all over the liver and multiply at a fast rate, causing liver damage.

Hepatocellular carcinoma is a common type of liver cancer seen in adults is, which initiates in hepatocytes and 3 out of 4 cases of this cancer type is hepatocellular carcinoma. This disease, in most cases, originates in one part of the liver and takes different growth patterns & has the potential to spread to various other liver parts, and even other body parts. The best ways to cure liver cancer is surgery involving removal of the tumour or liver transplantation. Radiation therapy is another way of cure.
