This is the classic sleep disorder where an individual has trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. Some insomnia is caused by other health conditions such as asthma or heartburn. Other types of insomnia are not linked to other health conditions. The best way to combat insomnia is to look for ways to reduce stress and deal with any emotional issues that are going on in your life.
Sleep apnea is a very serious condition where an individual has interrupted breathing during their sleep. Some people experience sleep apnea to such a degree that they stop breathing hundreds of times per night. As breathing is interrupted so is oxygen flow which can lead to a number of illnesses and diseases such as high blood pressure and stroke.
Sleep walking is generally caused by anxiety, lack of sleep, emotional problems or an intense fever. Most of the time sleepwalking will resolve itself once the underlying cause goes away. It's a good idea to see a physician about sleepwalking if there is a chance of harming yourself or if it does not resolve itself in a short period of time.
The more we use our body, the more that we must load up on sleep. If we do not catch up, our body starts to get confused and this can eventually lead to a sleep disorder. First we find ourselves irritable and slow. Then we lose our ability to fully relax and we are in for a much bigger problem down the road. Most sleep disorders treatment begins from the self. It is through renewing the self and freeing oneself from excessive stress especially form emotional stress will all help in having a good night's sleep.
Having a sleep disorder disrupts an individual's normal way of living. It affects all aspects of an individual's totality. Work, relationships with partners and friends will all be ruined once you will have a sleeping disorder. The treatment of sleeping disorders primarily begins with doing lifestyle modifications and keeping away from stress.
