The UK Government introduced the Motability Scheme to give registered disabled people the opportunity to purchase a brand new car by assisting with the financial repayments. There are over 2 million people registered disabled in the UK, so the Motability Scheme is there to offer the freedom and independence that comes with owning a car to those less physically fortunate than others.

To take part in the Motability Scheme you must qualify for Disability Living Allowance, Higher Rate Motability Component or War Pensioners' Motability Supplement. Motability provides financial support to help cover repayments on your new car, so when taking part in the scheme the Higher Rate Motability Component or War Pensioners' Motability Supplement must be used to make repayments throughout the length of the agreement.

To take advantage of the Honda Motability scheme you must have at least 12 months award remaining. The great thing about this scheme is that you don’t have to be the driver of the vehicle, you can obtain a vehicle and name up to two other people to be the permitted drivers of the car.
The Honda Motability Contract Hire scheme is run over a three year period, during that time you will make your payments with your allowance but you will need to make an advance payment at the beginning of the contract.

You will have the choice of any new car, but the most popular choice car is Honda CRV for Motability. As well as obtaining a car, you will also receive full comprehensive insurance and breakdown cover for the vehicle, plus maintenance and servicing for the duration of the agreement.
