What defines a satisfying movie?

What makes you feel like . . . "Yeah! That was good" when you leave the ntheater or the DVD ends on your TV?

There are scenes that you will remember because of their emotional charge and,ngenerally speaking, you will remember them and how they fit into the story.

However, the most important scene in any good movie is placed at the end.

This is when the hero or heroine is triumphant! When the day is saved! Rightnafter the bad guy gets his!

There are scenes that follow the climax. They let the audience gently downnemotionally and they add any final comments that are needed to tie the plot ntogether and assure us that the characters will live happily ever after!

This is generally known as the denouement It is about success! The problems nhave been solved and a new day has dawned! Wonderful!

So, what has this to do with goal setting?

What is a goal? Isn't it something that you want to achieve, something that youndesire to manifest in your life?

Too many materials that I read or hear would have you sit down and write outnwhole sheets of goals. The more the better! You are told then to go back andnexamine and rewrite them giving them a priority and periodically read them nover.

All well and good.

However, there is a possible problem here. If you write many, you are dilutingnyou emotional zest over the whole list and are more likely to fail to achieve anynone of them to any level of satisfaction. Don't spread your focus over manyngoals at any given time and expect satisfactory results.

Don't fall into this trap. I want this and I want that and that. Now that is my
Christmas list! Get it for me Santa!

You can have your list, and by all means, have a very big 'life stye' goal thatnis the culmination of all the goals in your list. After that, take one goal at a timenand focus on it as if you were writing that final scene for a classic, awe inspiringnmovie.

Then produce that scene!

See that scene! Feel it! Star in it and release it to the Theater of the Universe!

Like Hollywood, to do it very well, the rule is one production at a time!

There is only one scene! It has nothing to do with how the goal was achieved.
It is the scene that shows that you have achieved the goal!
