If you participate in or set up polls on Myspace, this Internet application will allow users to read questions and then answer them, with the choice that is most like their opinion. In this way, people can gather various opinions about the topic at hand, and it can be entertaining, too. You can add a poll yourself to your own Myspace page, to interact with your friends and readers. To set up a poll, you just need to utilize the App Gallery that Myspace hosts, to create a poll of your own.

To set up your own poll, log into Myspace and look for the More menu. Click on Apps Gallery under that section. Type “polls” into the field for text, and click “search”. This will prompt Myspace to give you the list of poll-generating applications. Then you can browse the offerings to decide which app you want to use. After you select one, click “add” next to the one you have chosen.

Next, you can easily follow the system prompts that will guide you through installing your app. Click the dialog window boxes to choose whether you want to add the poll to your profile or home page. Then you can invite your friends to participate.

Your poll question will be typed into the appropriate “question” field for text. Then type in your possible answers in those fields. The menus will help you to assign the style of your poll. These do differ, depending on which app you're using.

Click on the “create” button and this will generate your poll. If you have chosen to have this app automatically added to your profile or home page, you're done! If not, copy the code that you will see displayed.

Under your “profile” menu link, select “edit profile” and choose the section where you'd like to have your poll. Paste in the code you just got, and then click “save changes”. This adds the poll onto your page.

The Zoomerang polling app at Myspace is a tool that will help you poll and conduct crowd-sourcing. There are popular polls on Myspace, and some that are not as well-read. But your friends will probably want to share with you and others their view on your poll question. Businesses use Myspace polls, too, to gather survey feedback an many topics. Online polls are fun to use, to discover what your friends are thinking.
