We live in such an environment where we are surrounded by various microbes and also a wide range of insects. The warmer seasons of a tropical environment are the best place for these detrimental insects to thrive and also easily attack on humans. It is usually known that these atmospheric conditions are like a heaven for insects making every corner a den of bugs. But, the months of winter are found to provide a relief from these crawling and creeping creatures.
Most of our family members or friends or relatives have been bitten by one or the other insects that ranges from the mosquitoes, spiders or arachnids, scorpions, wasps, bees, centipedes and hornets. The effect produced by these small little creatures ranges from mild to severe pain and development of scars and red, itchy mark, which might have experienced by many individuals. The bitten area is not only filled with toxic compounds but also with various bacterial or other microbial species that pose a threat of severe infection of the inflamed area.
The best idea and smart practice in this regard is to take the help of first aid and apply some ointments or creams to the infected area, which is done in the majority of cases. Natural measures for ameliorating bug bites:
These natural remedies have been found to have a broad spectrum of activity and are normally accessible at any of the natural food stores or can be easily availed online. Keeping an efficient and optimum first aid kit against bug bites is always a good idea and a step forward for healthy life.
• Tamanu oil – It is obtained from the seeds of Calophyllum inophyllum, a tropical tree and is found to possess potent anti-microbial as well as anti-inflammatory properties. Hence, it acts in a quick way to relieve pain, redness, itching and swelling along with healing your skin. It is also known as cicatrizing agent as it results in formation of new and healthy tissue of skin.
• Manuka oil – This oil produced from the bush Leptospermum scoparium is gaining significance as a popular first aid remedial measure against bug bite as well as other skin scars. It acts as a potent and effective anti-bacterial agent that not only ceases the bacterial growth and stops the progression of the infection but also relieves pain instantaneously.
• Vinegar – Although this kitchen remedy is not that effective as the oils but it also provides relief from the excruciating pain and also found to tighten the skin tissue.
