Calcium and magnesium supplements are one of the best natural sleep remedies. These supplements make you feel sleepy. Just take magnesium (two parts) with calcium (six parts) and see the effects. But it is always a good idea to consult your physician before taking any kind of supplements.

Make it a habit of exercising daily for thirty minutes. It is one of the best natural sleep remedies known to help people suffering from sleeplessness. Exercise reduces stress as well as cures the problem of insomnia. It improves your blood circulation as well as clears your mind of stressful thoughts. This will help you to fall asleep sooner and will also increase the duration of your sleep.

Using an ear plug can be of great help. Keep proper ventilation and don’t forget to keep your bedroom cool and wear less clothing during summers.

You should always avoid caffeine before going to sleep because caffeine is a stimulant and it can result in getting a restless night. It is basically found in tea, coffee and chocolates.

Many people drink alcohol, since it has a sedating effect. But it actually makes your condition worse by causing disturbed sleep by waking you up during the night.

Always take a light meal before going to bed. Eating a heavy meal before going to sleep can cause acid reflux once you lie down. Try to take a warm bath a couple of hours before you go to sleep since it will make you feel relaxed and sleepy. Sleep in a comfortable bed and avoid using computer just before bedtime.
