You don’t need a bunch of fancy expensive products to get the radiant summer look you want. Here are 5 tips for a radiant summer look.

1. Flat Belly

A flat belly has more to do with healthy digestion than how many crunches you do. To improve your digestion, introduce organic fermented foods into your diet like sauerkraut, kimchi, and yogurt. Drink green tea to speed up your metabolism. If regularity continues to be an issue, add a bulk fiber supplement like psyllium fiber.

Cut back on carbs and eat more protein-rich foods like organic meat, poultry, and fish, beans, nuts, seeds, Greek yogurt, and hard cheese. Instead of three large meals a day, try eating five smaller ones. Adding a digestive enzyme supplement to your diet will also improve the way you digest and absorb nutrients from food.

To get a flat belly, it’s also important to get plenty of sleep. Sleep deprivation leads to elevated stress hormones called cortisol, which can pack on fat around your middle. Most adults need 7-9 uninterrupted hours of deep sleep each night.

When exercising, use a combination of cardiovascular and strength-training exercises to burn fat and gain muscle.

2. Glowing Skin

If you have sensitive skin and struggle with rashes, acne, and sun irritation during the summer, it can make you want to cover up and hide. The source of your irritation could come from the skin products you use everyday.

Many commercial lotions contain harsh chemicals that worsen your symptoms. For glowing skin, try raw coconut oil. Coconut oil is loaded with anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatories that heal, protect, and nourish sensitive skin.

Also, trade in your soda for pure water and green tea. Water nourishes and hydrates your skin while green tea decreases inflammation from the inside out.

3. Sun-Dappled Hair

Light, sun-dappled hair doesn’t need to come from a bottle of chemicals. You can get it from chamomile. To lighten your hair with this herbal tea, boil a pot of water and steep 4 teabags for one hour. Once the tea has cooled, pour it into a plastic spray bottle and use it daily. Your hair will be lighter within a week.

4. Strong Nails

If you have brittle nails, you can improve their look and strength by adding a natural supplement containing biotin. Biotin, also known as vitamin H, helps strengthen your nails by improving the way your body processes carbohydrates, protein, and fat.

You can also strengthen your nails by giving up the nail polish for a week or so. The chemicals in store-bought nail polish can dry out your nails and make them harder to grow them out.

5. Bright Eyes

Lack of sleep and allergies can make summer eyes look tired and worn. Brighten up your eyes naturally with green tea. Soak a couple of caffeinated green tea bags in hot water until they cool. Place them over your closed eyes and leave them on for 20 minutes. This cuts down on inflammation and eye bags so you can be proud to show them off again.

A healthy, glowing summer look is always best when it comes naturally.
