An Overview

There are three falls in Niagara River, which acts as the border between U.S and Canada, which is from the city of Niagara Falls up to Lake Ontario.

• Bridal Veil Falls
• Horseshoe Falls

The two falls, namely American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, are on the U.S side, and Horseshoe Falls is on the Canadian side. Bridal Veil Falls is smaller than the other two falls. Just a tiny gap which separates it from American Falls, so many people don't even know the fact that the two falls are separate. Whereas, The Horseshoe Falls is double the size of an American Falls.

Several islands surround the river near the falls. The largest island is Goat Island, which joins the American and Canadian falls. Visitors can cross a footbridge to reach those Three Sisters Islands. The cave which is named as Cave of the Winds attraction is accessible from Goat Island. It is a cave located behind Bridal Veil Falls.
