Excess weight of muscles, bones, fat and water in the body (like body builders and athletes) are overweight.
More people are weighted higher health risk than normal people. They are more prone to chronic diseases like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke and some cancers.
In recent decades the population is consuming more and more processed foods, while participation in physical activity less and less of any kind. Needless to say, these practices see the body mass index in the world of constant increase in frightening numbers.
Too many Big Macs and pizzas who will undoubtedly increase their body mass index, however, in our busy everyday life weight can lead seemingly unnoticed. The first five pounds is excused as "water weight" The next fifteen pounds or so can be explained as "holiday pounds" and acceptance would be that we would work out in the spring.
Then comes a gain of twenty pounds or more, but then you just accept what they are. And of course, the heavier it gets then the "small" sum of five pounds in a week or so is hardly noticed. But I warn you to be and a way to reduce weight in pounds is an admirable goal.
