In Oprah's magazine Dated April 2010 she States "The Battle Is over" How she ended her war with Food. Many of us know that Oprah has struggled with this issue most of her Adult life. May her profound discovery help men women and children throughout the world
Oprah Thank you so much for your Book Review of “Women food And God” by Geneen Roth. Your words will make a difference in the lives of many, many women and hopefully many men. Oprah you are indeed a special person, one who puts herself on the line with an open heart. I agree with your statement- “This book Is an opportunity to finally end the war with weight and unlock the door to freedom”. Oprah your admission that you are a food addict took tremendous courage and openness. Your admission will ring true for many people, myself included. Oprah God gave you a special place in this world, one in which your words and your actions are followed my countless millions of people around the world. You have indeed made a significant impact on the lives of people, helping them cope with life’s problems. Oprah your work in this area ranks high on the list of contributions you have made. Your personal struggle with food brings an unmatched level of creditability to your words and actions. Oprah it is my hope and prayer that you continue to follow this path and let God help you conquer your food addiction. Finding the root cause of your food addiction is the next big Step. My experience is that more often than not it is a relationship problem. A problem with self, God, the world and others. Bill Wilson co-founder of Alcoholic Anonymous uncovered this fact and pointed it out in his book “The Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions”. On page 80 he States “Since defective relations with other human beings have nearly always been the Immediate cause of our woes including alcoholism, no field investigation could yield more satisfying and valuable lessons as this one.” Oprah you are right when you say “ I think this book could have been called Women, Shopping and God, or Women, Meth and God, or Women, Gambling and God, since food is just one of the things we use to deny our own worthiness” May I add this book could have been called men Alcohol and God, men meth and God, or men Gambling and God. It appears that the unspoken words of the book are get right with God. My prayer is that this be your crowning achievement and by your words you guide us back to right eating, guide us to live lives of loving relationships with our creator and our fellow man/woman. Oprah I have always cherished your words and to honor you I have captured and enhanced your words by adding affirmations and inquires In the book “ Oprah In Her Words”. May you continue to use your words to help people of all faiths and beliefs. Oprah from this day forward I will pray for you that what you found profound in Geneen’s book ends your war with food and bring you peace and serenity
warmest personal regards
and with Blessings
