Optimizing your article submissions with key words, titles, SEO (search engine optimization) and sentence structure is absolutely vital to any successful article submission business.

The first thing you’ll want for any article is of course – a catchy title. Remember, you want your article to stand out among thousands of others!

Say for example, you’re writing an article about 401(k) plans. You can of course, call it ‘401(k) Planning’ but that’s not likely to garner a lot of attention. Get creative!

Your article submission title should be informative, contain at least one or two key words, as well as being interesting and fairly self-explanatory.

Once you’ve nailed a good title – the next thing you’ll want to think about are key words and phrases. If you’re article is about say, infertility or stock options, you have to narrow it down. Keep in mind that there are literally millions of articles out there about any given topic so you have to mention the specifics, and often.

Hit on key words or phrases at least once or twice in every single paragraph – but, and this is important, try not to sound redundant.

SEO (search engine optimization) is the practice of mentioning a certain word or phrase a certain percentage of the time. For example, if you’re writing an article about breast cancer, you might be told to use the term ‘malignant growth’ throughout at least 22% of the article. Of course this can get tricky, particularly when there aren’t many key words to play with, but it is important to keep this exercise in mind.

Another key step in optimizing your article submissions is sentence structure. Keep your paragraphs brief, no more than three or four sentences. This is to keep people interested, and also for people who skim or speed-read so they can easily catch anything important.

If you keep these tips in mind, your article submissions will be much more effective in driving targeted traffic to your Internet business.
