Most of us web marketers begin the same way. We heard all about the field of Search Engine Marketing world and we believe we will win money in a short time. Just put a quick website, submit it to search engines and wait for checks to start coming in. ..

Unfortunately, soon the cracks in the reality we face. You see, making money on the web is different from making money in the real world just is not easy. Ah, but let's face it, deep down, they kind of knew it all the time.

An example is the world of organic SEO. Organic SEO is the Holy Grail of web marketing. His promise is that you can get free targeted web traffic to sites and this traffic is going to buy whatever it is you are trying to sell. While it is true that a search engine like Google is free to millions of users of these ads every day free, and Google does everything possible to show visitors only ads that are relevant to what you're looking for. There can be costs associated with these "free" listings.

First there is time. Hey, we all know that time is money. Get a list of five in Google for "money phrase" is not a quick proposal. For any given key phrase, can not be literally millions of competing ads. It may take months or even years to get your site a short distance from the top. The fact is that if you are not among the top five results, not going to get any significant traffic to your website.

Next factor to consider is the cost of carrying out the actual SEO work. You can hire a SEO professional to do the work for you, which could cost thousands of dollars. In addition to SEO is not a job you can do once and forget. This is a course proposal. Search engines are constantly updating their algorithms, what works today may not work tomorrow. An SEO should maintain control of their pages and make various settings even after you're at the top. Make no mistake, do not do this for free.

Make your own SEO is often a viable solution, however, while it is usually cheaper, not free. You have to learn the techniques that are effective today and then have to put these techniques into action. All this costs money in the form of learning, plus it takes time and like everything else, it takes practice to do well. Please note, all the time you spend learning about SEO and the time spent actually performing the work is time not be spent on other things (things like the search for new markets, or follow up with existing customers ).

So what's the answer? One approach I've always had success with is to pick the ripe fruit first. To do this I look for keywords that are easier to qualify for, sentences that do not have much competition. I can I qualify for these keywords much easier and faster then the "big money" phrases. An additional benefit is that these "long tail keywords" are often more specific, then those other converting general phrases.
