Other Folks Ignored These Blog Traffic Tips And Really Regretted It
Written by Frankie Lardone
Unfortunately, working to send quality traffic to a site/blog is something every IM marketer needs to do. It’s never enough just having the site, or blog. It’s absolutely necessary to build a reason into your site for people to want to spend more than 30 seconds there. Thankfully, traffic generation does not have to be difficult, but it does take time and effort. It’s necessary to devote time each day to marketing – among other things, traffic generation. If you do this enough, you’ll begin to get traffic in ways you’re not aware of as word spreads. But for now, we’ll discuss some methods you can use today to begin seeing more traffic.
Submit your site to link directories. You should not just submit your site to random directories, but only to ones that are privately owned and consistently moderated. There are plenty of cost-free options for you to choose from. By doing this, you’ll be getting links from these directories, which can give your website a higher page rank. The fact that all sites in these directories have to be approved also helps, as people will trust your site more when they see it listed in one of them. This means that directory visitors are more likely to click through to your site.
Create a PPC campaign.
These can be made relatively inexpensively. PPC campaigns can bring you lots of traffic if you set them up with the right key words and write good ads.
You may want to try Google Adwords, which can probably get you the most traffic. If you know what you’re doing, you can get huge amounts of traffic with Adwords and similar services. You have to get people to click on your ads, so be sure to make them clever and original!
Another thing to consider is the domain name that you choose for your site. The quality of your domain name can be a real factor in how much traffic your site gets. Your domain name should remind people of what you are selling, and it should be an easy name to remember. Word of mouth matters just as much when you want to make money online as when you want to make sales offline. Domain names with strange spellings, hyphens are that are very long tend to get forgotten or ignored. You want people to forward your domain name to as many people as possible. When a domain name is very long or difficult, people will tend to leave part of it off or make a mistake when they retype or copy it. You really want a name that’s both easy to remember and interesting!
With so many different ways to generate traffic, how do you decide which ones to put your efforts into? If you confine yourself to using one single method to build traffic on any given day, you’ll get the best results. Give each method a fair chance to work; if you don’t see results in several months, you can try something else.
When you land upon a method that does work, scale it up so it brings you even more traffic. You want as many people as possible to visit your website. The more people who visit your website, the more sales you will make!
