Our annual family day out

During the summer holidays, my close and extended family like to get together on one of the days and spend it as a family. Throughout the year every family member is always busy with work, school, college, university and other things which mean we don’t meet up and spend time as a family. I’m really looking forward to this year’s day out, as I missed it last year because I had a major operation and was ordered complete bed rest. I was gutted; I have never missed any of the family gatherings so when I missed that one I almost felt depressed. We decided to go to Alexandra Palace, have a picnic in the park, play team building activities and just relax and enjoy the sun. It will be our first picnic as a family, so we decided that we all will take little bits of food each so we can then share it once we’re there. We also decided that each person must come up with a game to play that involves every member of the family, so that way we don’t run out of games to play and no one complains of boredom. It’s nearly the summer holiday but I haven’t thought of any games to play, my boyfriend already thought of one and added it to the list. To top it all I can’t decide what food to take, all this thinking is driving me crazy and again my boyfriend already decided what food he’s taking. I’m sure before the actual day I’ll have both the food and the game sorted.
