Our School Library

General Description Library is an important factor for any school / learning institute. A school without a library is like a dish without salt. It is unthinkable in the present era. A school library must have newspapers, journals, magazines, novels, story books, literature and books on various subjects for students. Students must go to library in their vacant periods for adding something better to their knowledge. School Library My school stresses equally on studies as well as sports. The school has arranged all the games / sports equipment i.e. cricket, Lawn Tennis, Volley Ball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Gymnastics, Hockey and Football. Our school has proper ground to play and separate stores for safe custody of these equipment. Similarly, the school understands the importance of books, reading material, newspapers, magazines, journals and literature books. We have maintained a good library for the said purpose. A library is a place provided for reading of educative as well as leisurely purposes to students. The school administration has piled up all kind of books systematically and proper record of these books are being maintained. Our school library thus is the soul of academic affluence of a school. A good school library reflects the seriousness, devotion and dedication of the administration towards the goal of education. Our school library is considerably big in size which meets all the requirement of the students. The books have been carefully and wisely selected to create love in the students for literature and learning. The librarian has prepared library cards for students. The students apply for cards and the librarian issues it accordingly. The librarian issues books against the card. No student can keep a book for more than one month except text books. Location of School Library Our library and reading-room is accommodated in a separate block of the school. All the books have been kept in proper bookcases. Books on different subjects are arranged in separate book-cases and allotted separate rows. On entering to library, you will find book-cases containing books of fiction, travel and adventure in a row on right hand side. Type of Books Poetry, novels and drama books are piled up next to the adventure related books. Classics in simple dark dust covers fill a whole bookcase. There are a dozen of bookcases full of scientific books, reference and text books in the next row of library. The catalogue cabinet is on one side in the library. Librarian sets in a room attached to the Library. The librarian is skillful in his work, who enjoys good reputation among the students. He gives advice to students on the choice of books. One half of the building serves as a reading room for the students. Interest of Students I have observed that most of the students read books of fiction. If we study the serious books, it would certainly develop our intellect. The sentimental/ emotional novels are seem to be more popular even in fictions. Of course, we do not have a large number of these books. Our teachers help the students in selection of good books which is a good sign.
