Places of tourist interest in Bubion, Spain

Actually, there are no historical records to go through the history of this beautiful village, Bubion located in the Granada province of Spain. Actually, this is a village of La Alpujarra region of Granada province. However, archeologists believe the village is of Roman origin and they also believe the village suffered during the Moors invasion. Now, the village has found its place on the tourist map of Europe and it receives thousands of tourists all around the year. This tiny village has so much to offer for the tourists and this is something unique!

The church:

This church is believed to have been made in the sixteenth century. Archeologists believe the church was remodeled in the 17th century. The church has been built in the traditional Mudejar design. The design looks so simple but it is amazingly a beautiful building. In fact the church was used as a watch tower to protect the village against enemies.

This is called a white village because most of the houses in this village have been painted in white color to the exterior of the house. This traditional color is used, as some body would put it, to protect themselves against the scorching sunshine. It is spectacular scene to see these white buildings built on narrow cobbled roads of the village. In fact the long distance footpaths run through this tiny village and it actually connects three more villages. Even these villages have houses with exterior in white finish with cobbled narrow roads. Actually some o the tourists even walk through the footpath to make a visit to the neighboring villages.

The Ethnic museum is another place of interest in this village. Actually this museum is located in a house which was built centuries ago. The village is blessed with beautiful environment and natural beauty. The village has some hotels which offer the traditional food of Bubion for the tourists. There are some small hotels which offer accommodation for the tourist at the most reasonable rentals. As a matter of fact, some of the tourists make it a point to stay in the village.

There are many buses connecting to this village and most of these buses from La Alpujarra town. Normally the tourist takes about one full day to visit this tiny village Bubion. Tourists who come to this village also visit some of the places of tourist interest which they come across on the way to the Bubion village.
