Asthma can fortunately be managed with the help of various medications now available on the market. Ventolin is one such popular prescription medication for asthma treatment. It is available in two different forms: the Evohaler and the Accuhaler. The Evohaler is available in the form of a pressurised metered-dose inhaler, which when used can deliver 100mcg of salbutamol in a single dose. It works faster and is effective for as long as four to six hours when you suffer an asthmatic attack. The Accuhaler on the other hand consists of a foil blister pack strip and can deliver 200mcg of microfine salbutamol and lactose in a single dose. However, it is not as fast acting as the Evohaler and should be avoided by those unable to tolerate lactose.
Clenil Modulite is another prescription asthma treatment. It contains beclomethasone dipropionate as its chief ingredient. It is used for controlling the asthma symptoms and preventing attacks that you may have. Hence, this asthmatic inhaler is supposed to be used on a daily basis. The chief ingredient of this clenil modulite inhaler is an anti-inflammatory steroid, which reduces the swelling of the bronchioles, controlling the effect of an attack. Clenil Modulite is usually supposed to be taken as two puffs, twice on a daily basis. However, the instructions can differ from individual to individual and are provided by a doctor.
Flixotide is an asthmatic inhaler with corticosteroid, with anti-inflammatory properties, and is available as an Evohaler and Accuhaler. The chief ingredient present in this inhaler is fluticasone, which works towards preventing you suffering from asthma symptoms and asthma attacks. The Evohaler is similar to the other asthma aerosol inhalers and people find it easier to use. An Accuhaler, on the other hand, containz blister doses of the medication in a powder form. If you use either on a daily basis, Flixotide is known to be an effective treatment for asthma attacks and symptoms .
Pulmicort turbohaler is also a popular asthmatic treatment, which contains budesonide as its chief ingredient. This Turbohaler, with the help of a steroid, works by limiting the inflammation of the lungs, thus reducing the asthma symptoms before they can occur. This Pulmicort Turbohaler is available in three dosage strengths of 100mcg, 200mcg and 400mcg. You are required to take two puffs twice on a daily basis. However, this Pulmicort dosages can be changed as per your specific condition.
