Paprika is one of those herbs that lots of people take for granted— but this simple spice has lots of healing qualities.
Paprika or Capsicum annuun as it’s called goes back hundreds of years and it’s made from a bunch of different types of peppers. In fact, there are about 12 different types of paprika but Hungarian paprika is probably the most well know. But all the types of paprika have the same healing qualities that are very important for healing disease.
Lowers Blood Pressure - Paprika is great for lowering blood pressure because it contains lots of powerful antioxidants.
Great for the GI Tract - Paprika helps to balance stomach acids and also to increase digestive juices in other parts of the GI tract thus helping to soothe the digestive process.
Creates Energy - Paprika contains lots of B-Vitamins which help to boost up a person’s energy and vitality.
Good Source of Natural Iron - Paprika also contains lots of bioavailable iron which is important for healing anemia and creating lots of hemoglobin for oxygen carrying capacity. One tablespoon of paprika contains almost 1.5 mg of great iron.
