Our stomach is one of the main important organ of our body. Whatever we eat, our stomach break it in usable minerals and vitamins. It is the stomach only where the process of starts off. Our stomach excrete an acid that is very essential in the process of digestion. The importance of this acid is that it help in breaking down the food during digestion. Proximal intestine and protective mechanisms are present in the stomach that help in maintaining the acid level in the body. If the acid produces by the stomach is in large amount it can resulted into acidity and APD. The excess of gastric acid is more prevalent in the morning it is so because the stomach is empty.
The excess of acid excrete by the stomach does not only resulted into acidity and APD but can also cause some serious problem too. Excess of acid in the stomach can lead to Heartburn, Dyspepsia (which is often called as fullness, flatulence or nausea, feeling of indigestion and bloating), Duodenal ulcer, Gastric ulcer, Peptic ulcer, Non-ulcer dyspepsia and Acid Reflux.

Excess Acid is the main problem which every individual is facing now a days. There are various symptoms acid produce by the stomach and these symptoms are hair loss, bad breath (also called as Halitosis), bleaching, nasal congestion, phlem, abdominal pain and throat pain.
You can avoid Excess Stomach Acid if you take care of the food you are eating, do not eat food which is spicy, salted and acidic. To keep your stomach and esophagus in harmony and maintain acid level you need to avoid smoking and drinking alcohol. Avoid taking stress and tension to avoid excess stomach acid and ulcers. Do not avoid your meal and follow proper diet system. If you still do not get relif from this problem you should immediately consult your doctor or health care professionls.

There are various medicines available in the market for the treatment of excessive acid produce by the stomach. Prevacid is a prescription medicine used to heal you from the problem of acid produce by the stomach. Lansoprazole is the main ingredient of this medication. Prevacid comes in the form of both capsules and tablet form and available by both generic and brand name. It is a prescription medicine and should be taken as prescribe by the doctor. The dosage recommended for this medicine is 15 mg-30 mg three times in a day.
There are few precaution you need to take care of before taking Prevacid medicine. Do not take this medication if you are suffering from phenylketonuria. Avoid taking this medication if you are patient of liver and kidney diseases. Prevacid should not be given to less than one year old child. Avoid taking this medicine if you are alllergic to it or to its ingredient. Pregnant
and breast feeding mother should avoid taking this medicine without doctor consideration. Take this medicine with a full glass of water without food. Store this medicine in dry place away from light, heat and moisture. Keep this medicine away from the reach of the children and pet.
